New York Yankees (36-33) at Houston Astros (33-36), 2:05 p.m.

(Sports Network) - A terrific pitching matchup is on tap this afternoon at Minute Maid Park, as Chien-Ming Wang and the New York Yankees try and complete a three-game sweep of Roy Oswalt and the Houston Astros.

Wang, who has never faced the Astros, picked up his first win in seven starts on Tuesday in Oakland, holding the Athletics to a run and seven hits over 7 1/3 innings, as he improved to 7-2 on the season, while lowering his earned run average to 4.30.

Oswalt, meanwhile, snapped a losing streak his last time out, defeating the Milwaukee Brewers for his first win in four decisions. He allowed a run and five hits in that one and struck out 10 batters without a walk to run his record to 5-6 to go along with a 5.06 ERA.

He is 5-0, though, with a 3.22 ERA in nine career interleague home starts.

Oswalt has made one start against the Yanks but lasted just one perfect inning thanks to a strained groin. However, the Astros did not miss him, as the five relievers after him did not allow a hit. The six pitchers used in the combined no-hitter were a major league record.

On Saturday, Alex Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and scored three times, and Mike Mussina was efficient on the mound to pick up his 10th victory, leading New York to an 8-4 win.

Mussina (10-4) went six innings and gave up three runs on six hits while fanning four batters. Wilson Betemit, Melky Cabrera and Jose Molina each had two runs batted in. Robinson Cano had a pinch-hit RBI for the victors as the Yankees won their third straight to move three games over .500 (36-33) for the first time this season.

Wandy Rodriguez (2-3) was dealt the loss as he was roughed up for five runs on six hits in five frames. Carlos Lee had a three-run homer, while Brad Ausmus drove in the other run in defeat.

The Yankees took two of their three games with the Astros back in 2003, but their lone loss, of course, was the memorable no-hitter.
