Florida Marlins (36-32) at Tampa Bay Rays (40-28), 1:40 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Rays hope to continue their home dominance this afternoon when they try to complete a three-game sweep of the Florida Marlins at Tropicana Field.

Tampa won for the 22nd time in their last 25 games at home on Saturday, as Jonny Gomes homered and Jason Bartlett added a two-run single in the 4-1 win. Gomes was playing in his first game since his return from a five-game suspension for the Rays, who have won five of their last eight overall.

Starter Matt Garza (5-3) got the win, scattering three hits and one run over seven innings, fanning three with a walk. Troy Percival worked a scoreless final frame for his 15th save.

Mike Jacobs knocked in the lone run for the Marlins, who have dropped three straight.

Mark Hendrickson (7-5) suffered the loss for Florida despite yielding only four hits and three runs with six strikeouts over five innings.

Heading to the hill for the Rays tonight will be righty Edwin Jackson, who is 4-5 with a 4.06 ERA. Jackson got the win on Monday against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, as he allowed four runs and 10 hits in seven innings of a 13-4 triumph.

Jackson, though, has struggled against the Marlins in his career, posting an 0-2 mark to go along with a 11.88 ERA in three games (two starts).

Florida will counter with righty Ricky Nolasco, who has won five of his previous six decisions. Nolasco earned the win on Tuesday against Philadelphia, as he surrendered three unearned runs and four hits in six innings to run his record to 6-4 on the season, while lowering his ERA to 4.63.

Nolasco won his only other start against the Rays, giving up three runs and seven hits in 6 1/3 innings. This, though, will be his first start in St. Petersburg.

Florida, which was last swept by the Rays in May of 2006, took four of six from the Rays last season and is 12-8 in the series since the start of the 2005 campaign, with six of those wins in that span coming at the Trop.

The Marlins are 106-85 all-time in interleague play, while the Rays have posted a 77-106 mark against the Junior Circuit.
