(Sports Network) - Southpaw Ted Lilly returns to the city - Toronto - where he established himself over three seasons when the Chicago Cubs face the host Blue Jays in the finale of their three-game interleague series at Rogers Centre.

A 32-year-old native of Torrance, Calif., Lilly reached the majors with the Montreal Expos in 1999 and toiled for the New York Yankees and Oakland Athletics between 2000 and 2003, reaching double digits in wins one time.

He broke through with Toronto starting in 2004, however, winning 12 games and following it up with 10 and 15 over the next two seasons before heading to the Cubs as a free agent and equaling the 15 wins with Chicago in 2007.

The former 23rd-round draft choice - 1996, Los Angeles Dodgers - has won five of his last six decisions after a 1-4 start this season, including a 10-5 win over Atlanta on June 10 in which he allowed four hits and three runs in 6 2/3 innings.

Lilly is 1-1 with a 5.32 earned run average in seven career games - two starts - against Toronto.

For the Blue Jays, right-hander Jesse Litsch will try to regain the form that saw him win five straight decisions between April 27 and May 29.

A seven-game winner as a rookie last season in 20 starts, Litsch reached seven wins in his second year with a 12-0 rout of Oakland in the finale of the aforementioned streak, allowing seven hits and striking out three in seven innings.

He's 0-1 with a no-decision in two outings since, getting roughed up to the tune of 20 hits and six runs in 11 1/3 innings.

Litsch, who is 3-0 in six home starts in 2008, has never faced the Cubs.

On Saturday, Jason Marquis took a one-hitter into the eighth inning, and the Cubs downed the Blue Jays, 6-2.

Marquis (5-3) allowed four hits -- three in the eighth inning -- and one run in seven-plus frames, striking out one and walking two. Reed Johnson's three- run homer was the big blow for the Cubs, who have won five of six.

Roy Halladay (8-6) gave up six runs -- two earned -- on seven hits, fanning five and walking one. Brad Wilkerson had two of the six hits for the Blue Jays, who have dropped seven of ten.

Toronto has won five of its eight matchups with the Cubs since 2003.
