Philadelphia Phillies (39-28) at Florida Marlins (36-29), 7:10 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Philadelphia Phillies starter Jamie Moyer must enjoy seeing the Florida Marlins on the schedule since he is a perfect 8-0 with a 3.51 ERA in eight career starts against them. Tonight, Moyer will put his unblemished record on the line in the finale of a three-game series at Dolphin Stadium.

Moyer kept his streak against the Marlins intact on June 1 of this season, when he hurled seven subpar innings in a 7-5 victory at Citizens Bank Park. He was reached for five runs and seven hits with three strikeouts and no walks.

The veteran left-hander is unbeaten over his last five starts overall (4-0), but did not record a decision at Atlanta on June 6. Moyer limited the Braves to a pair of runs and five hits in 5 1/3 frames of a 4-3 victory at Turner Field. Moyer improved to 3-1 in six starts as the visitor this season.

Philadelphia needs Moyer's best stuff tonight against the pesky Marlins since it has dropped the first two tests of this three-game series. The back-to-back losses have trimmed the Phillies' NL East lead over Florida to just two games. After having a four-game winning streak stopped in the opener of the set on Tuesday, the Phillies suffered a tough 6-2 loss last night. They tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the ninth before reliever Tom Gordon imploded in the bottom half, allowing Dan Uggla's game-winning grand slam. Gordon was the loser with four runs, two walks and two hits in just one-third of an inning.

Starting pitcher Cole Hamels gave up a pair of solo homers to Jorge Cantu in his eight-inning stint while striking out 13 batters and walking one. Chase Utley had the two RBI for the Phils, who dropped to 3-2 on a nine-game road and 18-15 away from home this season. Philly will visit St. Louis at Busch Stadium for three games after its series in South Beach.

Florida is 4-2 on a seven-game homestand and 22-14 at Dolphin Stadium following Wednesday's late-inning rally. Cantu finished 3-for-4 with three runs scored to add to his pair of homers, while Uggla and Hanley Ramirez each recorded the other hits in a winning effort. Marlins left-hander Andrew Miller was brilliant through seven frames, allowing four hits and one run with seven K's and one walk.

Justin Miller tossed a perfect inning and closer Kevin Gregg was the beneficiary of Uggla's blast after allowing the Phillies to tie the game in the ninth inning. Utley reached on a fielder's choice and pinch runner Eric Bruntlett scored to even the score.

The Marlins will hit the road after tonight's game for a nine-game swing through Tampa, Seattle and Oakland. They will hand the ball to Scott Olsen on Thursday, and he is 4-2 with a 3.44 ERA in 13 starts this season. Olsen is 0-1 over his last six starts with Florida going 3-3 during that stretch.

Olsen last toed the rubber on Saturday in an 8-7 win versus Cincinnati, but did not factor in the decision. He allowed four unearned runs and four hits in six frames of work.

The fiery left-hander will face the Phillies for the first time this season, and owns a 3-4 mark with a 6.00 earned run average in nine career starts against them.

Philadelphia won two of three games against the Marlins at Citizens Bank Park from May 30-June 1. Both teams won nine games in last season's series.
