(Sports Network) - Floridian Bronson Arroyo returns to his home state tonight with the chance to level his 2008 record at .500, when the Cincinnati Reds visit Dolphin Stadium in Miami for the second of four games with the host Florida Marlins.
The Reds are also in town with future Hall of Fame outfielder Ken Griffey Jr. still on the brink of a milestone.
The Cincinnati native, who has 599 home runs for his career, has gone 5-for-10 with three doubles and five walks since his last round-tripper on May 31 against Atlanta.
He was 2-for-3 with a run scored in the opener of the four-game series with the Marlins on Friday.
Born in Key West in 1977, Arroyo enters the game at 4-5 for the season, winning three of his last four decisions after a 1-4 start.
He tossed seven scoreless innings against the Marlins on May 14 in Cincinnati, but was denied a victory when Florida rallied for six runs against the bullpen in the ninth inning.
The Reds won in the 10th inning, 7-6.
Arroyo is 0-1 in six career outings against the Marlins with a 3.09 earned run average.
Florida lefty Scott Olsen seeks his first win since May 6.
The 24-year-old improved to 4-1 after defeating Milwaukee that night in Miami, but has since gone 0-1 with four no-decisions, allowing 31 hits and 19 earned runs in 26 1/3 innings.
He gave up four hits and three runs in six innings in his last outing, getting a no-decision in the Marlins' 7-5 loss at Atlanta.
Olsen was a winner in his lone career start against the Reds, allowing four hits and two runs in seven innings.
On Friday, Jay Bruce went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and three batted in as the Reds walloped the Marlins, 11-3.
Starter Johnny Cueto (5-5) earned his third straight victory and first road win of his career. He had been 0-4 with a 7.99 earned run average away from Great American Ball Park coming into the game, but the young righty allowed just three runs on eight hits and three walks, while fanning eight in six innings.
Jerry Hairston Jr. and Brandon Phillips each tallied two RBI for the Reds, who had lost three of their previous four.
Florida starter Andrew Miller (4-5) started strong but unraveled in his 3 1/3 innings, allowing four runs on six hits with three walks and six strikeouts. Doug Waechter allowed four runs in his 1 2/3 innings of relief.
Jorge Cantu connected on two solo home runs during a 3-for-5 effort at the plate for the Marlins, who have dropped five of six overall and seven in a row to Cincinnati.
The Reds have won all four of their matchups so far this year against the Marlins, but lost three of four in Florida last season.
