(Sports Network) - The Toronto Blue Jays will collide with the Baltimore Orioles this afternoon in the second contest of a three-game installment at the Rogers Centre.

Jeremy Guthrie heads to the hill today for the Orioles in hopes of turning his luck around. The right-hander has not allowed more than three runs in his last four starts, but has just one win in that span. The last time Guthrie was on the mound, the O's defeated Boston, 6-3.

Guthrie was outstanding in the win, holding the Red Sox to just two runs on eight hits in 6 1/3 innings of work, but despite the strong showing, Guthrie did not factor in the decision.

In six starts on the road this season Guthrie is just 1-3, but has a modest ERA of 3.52.

In his short career, Guthrie has pitched extremely well against Toronto, winning all three of his matchups against the Blue Jays, while allowing just eight runs in 20 innings.

Toronto will counter with A. J. Burnett on the hill, as he will be going for his sixth victory on the year. The last time the hard throwing right-hander toed the rubber he threw eight solid innings against the Angels, limiting them to just two runs on three hits and three walks, while striking out eight batters. Unfortunately the Blue Jays fell to Anaheim, but Burnett did not factor in the decision.

The 31-year-old has been atrocious at home, posting a mere 2-2 mark with a terrible 7.54 ERA. In 22 2/3 innings, Burnett has surrendered 19 runs on 32 hits.

Throughout his career, Burnett has enjoy plenty of success against Baltimore, posting a 5-0 ledger in six starts. He has struck out 38 O's in a little over 43 innings of duty and has a solid 3.32 ERA.

On Friday, Adam Jones and Melvin Mora each hit a two-run home run as Baltimore scored all of its runs in the eighth inning en route to a 6-5 win over the Blue Jays.

Nick Markakis went 4-for-4 with a double, run batted in and a run scored while Brian Roberts had two hits and scored a run for the Orioles, who have won four of their last five. .

Dennis Sarfate (3-1) only needed two pitches to earn the win in relief of Brian Burres, who allowed three runs on five hits in 4 1/3 innings. George Sherrill worked the ninth for his 21st save.

Rod Barajas and Brad Wilkerson each had two hits and knocked in a run for the Blue Jays, who have dropped three straight and four of their last five. Scott Rolen doubled and scored, while Kevin Mench and David Eckstein each drove in a run.

Shaun Marcum held the Orioles to one run on seven hits in seven-plus frames, but Brian Tallet and Armando Benitez (0-1) combined to let the O's steal the game, allowing five runs -- four earned -- on four hits in the eighth.

The Blue Jays and Orioles split a two-game set in Baltimore from April 14-15. Toronto won six of nine at home versus the O's last year.
