Cleveland Indians (27-32) at Texas Rangers (30-31), 8:05 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Reigning American League Cy Young Award winner C.C. Sabathia will try to put a few subpar outings behind him when he leads the Cleveland Indians tonight in the finale of a four-game series against the Texas Rangers in Arlington.

Sabathia is 0-2 with a 2.86 earned run average over his last three starts, and was saddled with the loss in a 4-2 defeat at Kansas City on Saturday. He allowed four runs and eight hits in eight innings of work, struck out eight batters and issued no walks.

Despite that solid performance, Sabathia fell to 3-7 with a 4.72 ERA in 12 starts in 2008.

The bulky left-hander did not factor in the outcome of a 2-1 setback versus Texas on May 25 after he hurled seven innings of one-run ball. Sabathia is 7-2 with a 4.38 earned run average through 12 career starts against the Rangers.

In a 15-9 rout of the Rangers on Wednesday, Cleveland's Ryan Garko had a career-high six runs batted in and Ben Francisco chipped in five hits to lead the way. Garko was 4-for-5 with a walk and scored twice, while Francisco finished 5-for-6 with an RBI and three runs scored.

Francisco was one hit shy of tying the major league record for hits in a nine- inning game. Grady Sizemore and David Dellucci also got into the act with home runs for Cleveland.

Indians starter Cliff Lee collected the win despite allowing six runs on nine hits in five innings. Lee fanned eight batters in the winning effort.

Cleveland owns a 3-3 mark so far on an 11-game road trip against Kansas City, Texas and Detroit. It is 11-16 away from Progressive Field this season.

Michael Young had three hits, scored twice and knocked in a pair of runs last night for Texas, which is 3-3 on a 10-game homestand and 15-14 at Rangers Ballpark this season. Milton Bradley homered, scored twice and drove in three runs in a losing effort.

Texas starter Sidney Ponson surrendered six runs -- two earned -- on eight hits and three walks for the no decision. Reliever Elizardo Ramirez was saddled with the loss following a rough performance in which he yielded nine runs and eight hits in 2 2/3 innings of work.

The Rangers, who will host Tampa Bay for three games over the weekend, will send Kevin Millwood to the mound on Thursday. Millwood missed his scheduled start Wednesday because of a personal matter and is 3-3 with a 4.50 earned run average in 10 starts this season.

Millwood last took the hill on Friday versus Oakland and tossed six strong innings to solidify a 3-1 victory. The right-hander gave up just one run and five hits.

Millwood, who is 3-0 in six home starts this season, is 2-1 with a 4.12 ERA in three career starts against Cleveland.

Texas won two of three from the Indians earlier in the year, but is just 10-14 in the series since the start of the 2006 campaign. Cleveland has also won seven of its last nine in Arlington.
