New York Yankees (27-27) at Minnesota Twins (28-26), 7:10 p.m.

(Sports Network) - After having a four-game winning streak halted yesterday, the Minnesota Twins will attempt to bounce back strong tonight in the second of a four-game series against the New York Yankees at the Metrodome.

In the series opener, Bobby Abreu went 3-for-4 with two triples and scored four times as the Yankees edged the Twins, 6-5.

Alex Rodriguez, Hideki Matsui and Melky Cabrera each had three hits and a pair of runs batted in for the Yankees, who have won two in a row and seven of their last nine overall.

Mike Mussina (8-4) got the win after he threw six innings and gave up just four runs -- two earned -- on six hits, while fanning four and walking one. Mariano Rivera earned his 14th save of the year with a scoreless ninth.

Justin Morneau went 2-for-4 with a solo home run for the Twins, who were coming off a three-game sweep of Kansas City. Alexi Casilla was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored, while Michael Cuddyer, Jason Kubel and Delmon Young had a hit and an RBI each.

Glen Perkins (2-2) took the loss after he lasted just four innings and gave up five runs on 10 hits with two walks.

Yankees' ace Chien-Ming Wang will be on the hill tonight in hopes of improving his already impressive 6-2 record and 3.82 ERA. He has allowed 63 hits in 73 innings and is coming off a no-decision against Seattle on Sunday, in which he permitted five earned runs on seven hits in 6 1/3 innings of action.

Wang is 2-0 lifetime against Minnesota with a 1.71 ERA in three starts.

Boof Bonser is the scheduled starter for Minnesota, and he is 2-6 with a 6.16 ERA this year. He has allowed 68 hits in 61 1/3 innings of action and was dominated by Detroit last Saturday, yielding eight earned runs in only three innings of work.

Bonser is 0-2 with a 9.31 ERA versus the Yankees, so his track record against the Bronx Bombers is not good at all.

New York won five of its seven meetings with the Twins a year ago after the teams split a six-game series in each of the two previous seasons.
