(Sports Network) - Starting pitcher Scott Olsen has hit a snag for the Florida Marlins, who will wrap up a three-game series with the NL East-rival New York Mets tonight at Shea Stadium.

Olsen is 1-2 over his last three decisions and was rocked last Friday versus the San Francisco Giants. He was reached for a season-high seven runs -- five earned -- and eight hits over a season-low 3 1/3 innings in an 8-2 loss.

The left-hander fell to 4-2 with a 3.37 earned run average through 10 starts this season. Olsen hasn't faced the rival Mets yet this year, but is 1-2 with a 3.94 ERA in eight career starts against them.

Olsen and the Marlins will try to get back on the winning track after having a three-game winning streak come to an end in Tuesday's 5-3 setback to the Mets. Cody Ross homered and ended 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI for Florida, which entered the game having won six of its last seven contests.

Marlins starter Andrew Miller suffered the loss after he allowed four runs on six hits with two strikeouts and three walks over 4 2/3 innings.

NL East-leading Florida is 1-1 so far on a 10-game road trip against the Mets, Phillies and Braves. It is 1 1/2 games ahead of Philadelphia, 2 1/2 games ahead of Atlanta and 5 1/2 games in front of New York in the division.

New York starter Johan Santana earned the win last night after he allowed three runs on eight hits with seven strikeouts in seven innings of work. Fernando Tatis and Ramon Castro both drove in two runs and David Wright scored twice for the Mets, who won for just the second time in their last nine games.

Oliver Perez gets the call for Willie Randolph's ballclub tonight, and he is 4-3 with a 4.53 ERA in 10 starts for the Mets this season.

Perez is unbeaten in his last three starts (2-0) after a personal three-game losing streak, but did not impress his last time out. Perez was reached for four runs and six hits through five innings for a no-decision in a 6-5 loss at Colorado's Coors Field on Friday.

The left-hander defeated Florida on April 2 at Dolphin Stadium, hurling six shutout innings of five-hit ball in a 13-0 drubbing. Perez is 4-3 with a 4.68 earned run average in 11 career games against the Marlins.

The Mets are 1-1 on their seven-game homestand versus Florida and Los Angeles.

New York won two of three games against Florida at Dolphin Stadium from March 31 - April 2 to open the 2008 campaign . The Mets have won seven of their last 11 meetings with the Marlins.
