Atlanta Braves (28-24) at Milwaukee Brewers (25-27), 8:05 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Slumping veteran Jeff Suppan tries again for a first career victory over Atlanta tonight when the Milwaukee Brewers host the Braves in game two of a three-game series at Miller Park.

A 33-year-old Oklahoma native, Suppan is 0-4 against the Braves in a major- league career that stretches back to his eight-game debut with the Boston Red Sox in 1995.

He's given up 28 hits and 17 earned runs in 19 2/3 innings against the Braves, walking six and striking out 15 while posting a 7.78 earned run average.

Since an April 2 defeat of the Chicago Cubs, Suppan has won just once in nine starts, including a 5-1 loss at Washington on May 23, in which he allowed three hits and an earned run in 5 2/3 innings.

The only victory came May 11 against St. Louis.

Atlanta's Jo-Jo Reyes starts for the second time in his career against the Brewers. He got a no-decision against Milwaukee last year, allowing four hits and three earned runs in 5 1/3 innings.

This season, Reyes has alternated between wins and losses, most recently dropping an 11-1 verdict to Arizona after he was tagged for six hits and seven earned runs in five innings on May 23.

One start previous, he'd given up eight hits and two runs in five innings of a 5-2 defeat of Oakland.

On Tuesday, Mike Cameron's sacrifice fly to left field brought home Bill Hall for the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning, as Milwaukee once again came through in its final at-bat in a 3-2 victory over the Braves.

Ryan Braun and J.J. Hardy each recorded three hits with Hardy knocking in a pair for the Brewers, who lead the league with 11 wins in their last plate appearance.

Salomon Torres (4-1) was credited with the victory by throwing a scoreless ninth, and starter Dave Bush lasted seven innings, allowing just two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out three.

Kelly Johnson and Gregor Blanco each slammed solo home runs for the Braves, who are winless in 10 one-run road games this season.

Tim Hudson did not factor in the decision, scattering 11 hits and one walk for two runs over eight innings. The righty also struck out six, as Jeff Bennett (0-3) took the loss with his ninth-inning appearance in the opener of the three-game series.

Atlanta won five of its seven meetings with the Brewers a year ago.
