(Sports Network) - The Pittsburgh Pirates will set sail for seven games, starting with tonight's first of three straight meetings against the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park.

Pittsburgh will also take on St. Louis for four games at Busch Stadium on this current road trip. It has won two straight overall and completed a six-game homestand with a 3-3 record following Sunday's 6-5 win in 11 innings versus the Chicago Cubs, as Jason Bay drove in Chris Gomez with the game-winning run in the 11th inning at PNC Park.

Bay finished 2-for-5 and Luis Rivas homered twice for the Pirates, who have won three of its last four after dropping the previous three. Nate McLouth chipped in three hits and an RBI and Xavier Nady hit a solo homer in the win.

Paul Maholm started for the Bucos and lasted eight innings, giving up five runs on eight hits in earning a no-decision for the Pirates. Damaso Marte got the win by pitching a scoreless 11th inning.

Ian Snell will try to keep Pittsburgh in the win column on Tuesday, and is 2-3 with a 4.84 ERA in 10 starts. Snell is 0-3 over his previous seven outings and lost to Milwaukee last Wednesday, allowing four runs -- two earned -- on nine hits in six innings of a 4-1 defeat.

Snell faced Cincinnati on April 12 this season and recorded the victory. He yielded three runs and nine hits through 6 1/3 innings during a 4-3 triumph. In eight career starts against the Reds, the righty is 3-4 with a 5.18 ERA.

Cincinnati recently went 2-5 on a seven-game road trip after ripping off a season-high six straight wins. It was aiming for a three-game sweep of the San Diego Padres over the weekend, but suffered a 12-9 loss in 18 innings on Sunday. Adrian Gonzalez clubbed a game-winning three-run homer in the bottom of the 18th to lead San Diego.

Reds starter Matt Belisle was tagged for five runs on eight hits in 4 1/3 innings. The Reds exhausted all their resources in the bullpen, forcing starter Aaron Harang to make his first relief appearance since August 2006 and the fourth of his career. Harang struck out nine in four scoreless innings. Edinson Volquez, who struck out a career-high 12 batters on Friday, gave up three unearned runs on Gonzalez's blast, tossing 1 2/3 innings to take the loss.

Adam Dunn and Brandon Phillips both smashed two-run homers for Cincinnati, while Paul Janish knocked in two runs for the Reds, who competed in their first 18-inning game since May 10, 1979 at Chicago. Reds future Hall of Fame outfielder Ken Griffey Jr. is two home runs shy of becoming the sixth member of the 600-homer club.

The Reds have won seven in a row at home and are searching for eight straight victories as the host for the first time since August 1-15 of the 1995 campaign. The Reds were playing at Cinergy Field then.

Cincinnati is expected to call up prized prospect Jay Bruce from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday for his major league debut. Bruce, the Reds' first-round pick in 2005, leads the International League with a .364 batting average and 67 hits. Bruce also had 10 home runs and 37 RBI with the Triple-A ballclub. Bruce is slated to play center field tonight versus Pittsburgh.

The Reds, who will begin a six-game homestand versus Pittsburgh and Atlanta, will send rookie Johnny Cueto to the hill on Tuesday. Cueto is 2-5 with a 5.56 ERA in 10 starts, but is 0-2 with a 6.32 earned run average over his previous three trips to the mound.

Cueto is 1-5 over his past six decisions, and last toed the rubber on May 21 at Los Angeles. He was ripped for four runs -- two earned -- and seven hits in five innings of work to absorb the loss.

The right-hander faced Pittsburgh for the first time in his career on April 13, suffering the loss for giving up five runs and five hits in six frames of a 9-1 setback at PNC Park.

Pittsburgh swept a three-game series versus Cincinnati at PNC Park from April 11-13 this season.
