Colorado Rockies (20-30) at Philadelphia Phillies (28-24), 7:05 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Philadelphia veteran starter Jamie Moyer gets another chance for a win against the Colorado Rockies tonight, when the Phillies play the first of three straight games versus the defending NL champions at Citizens Bank Park.

Moyer is 0-4 with a 5.54 earned run average through four career starts against the Rockies. Moyer, who owns at least one victory against every ballclub in baseball except for Colorado, previously faced the Rockies in Game 3 of last year's NL division series at Coors Field. He allowed one run over six innings in a 2-1 loss that ended the Phillies' playoff run. Colorado swept the series, 3-0, including the first two games in South Philly.

The left-handed Moyer has won two straight starts overall and is 3-1 with a 4.18 earned run average in his past four outings. He got a lot of run support in a 12-2 triumph at Washington on May 21, allowing seven hits through six shutout innings. Moyer is 4-3 with a 4.37 ERA in 10 starts this season.

Philadelphia will open a 10-game homestand on Monday, with three games against both Colorado and Florida and four matchups versus Cincinnati. It just completed a seven-game road trip with a 4-3 mark and split a four-game set with the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park.

In Sunday's 15-6 rout of the 'Stros in the season finale, Geoff Jenkins, Pat Burrell and Chase Utley each homered to lead the charge. Jenkins recorded three hits and scored three runs, while Utley and Shane Victorino each knocked in three runs in the 16-hit attack for Philadelphia, which had dropped two straight before yesterday's triumph.

Phillies starter Cole Hamels, who entered the game in the midst of a 19-inning scoreless stretch, endured his shortest outing of the season, lasting just four innings and giving up a season-high six runs on seven hits without recording a strikeout. The bullpen came up huge, however, throwing five shutout innings with veteran reliever Rudy Seanez collecting the win after tossing a scoreless fifth inning.

Colorado enters this series a little banged up, as Matt Holliday, Clint Barmes and Brad Hawpe were all placed on the disabled list with injuries. The Rockies just completed a nine-game homestand with a 5-4 record and took two of three games versus the New York Mets over the weekend, posting a 4-1 victory in the series finale on Sunday.

Seth Smith's first-career home run, a three-run shot in the fourth inning, was enough to lead the way and back an excellent pitching performance from Aaron Cook. Cook went the distance for the seventh complete game of his career, yielding one run on four hits to improve to 3-0 lifetime versus the Mets.

Smith, who was recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Saturday, also drew a walk in the win. Yorvit Torrealba knocked in a run for Colorado, which has won five of its last eight contests.

Colorado will begin a 10-game road trip on Monday with three games against the Phillies, four games at the Chicago Cubs and three contests in Los Angeles. Taking the ball for the Rockies to kick off the trek will be Jorge De La Rosa, who is 1-2 with a 7.78 ERA in four starts this season. De La Rosa, who is 0-1 with a 5.40 earned run average over the past two outings, did not factor in the outcome of a 4-3 win versus San Francisco on May 19. He was reached for three runs -- two earned -- on four hits in 5 1/3 frames.

In three career appearances - one of which was a start - against the Phillies, the southpaw is 0-0 with a 4.26 earned run average.

These two teams met at Coors Field on April 21-22 this season, with the Phillies sweeping a two-game series. Philadelphia is 13-9 in the last 22 regular-season meetings with the Rockies.
