Milwaukee Brewers (23-26) at Washington Nationals (21-29), 1:35 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Journeyman right-hander Tim Redding continues a resurgent season today when the Washington Nationals host the Milwaukee Brewers in the third game of a four-game series at Miller Park.

The 30-year-old Rochester, New York native was a 10-game winner with Houston in 2003, but hadn't won more than five games in a season since and was out of the majors entirely in 2006.

Redding returned to go 3-6 in 15 starts with the Nationals last season, then won three of his six starts with the team in April and has subsequently gone 3-1 in May.

He defeated Philadelphia in his last start on May 19, scattering seven hits over 6 1/3 innings of the Nationals' 4-0 victory.

Redding is 5-5 in 15 career appearances - 11 starts - against the Brewers with a 4.55 earned run average in 61 1/3 innings.

Milwaukee lefty Manny Parra looks for a second straight strong outing.

He picked up his second win of the season on May 20 at Pittsburgh, allowing just four hits in 5 2/3 shutout innings as the Brewers topped the Pirates, 7-2.

Previously, the 25-year-old Californian had gone seven straight starts without a win since defeating San Francisco, 5-4, in his 2008 debut on April 5.

Parra has never faced the Nationals.

On Saturday, Mike Cameron went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run, scoring twice as Milwaukee downed the Nationals, 5-2. Corey Hart hit a two-run homer for the Brewers, who won for just the third time in their last 10 tries.

Seth McClung (2-1) came out of the bullpen and made his first start of season, holding the Nationals to four hits and two runs in five frames, fanning four with no walks.

John Lannan (4-5) let up three runs on five hits in five innings, with four strikeouts and a walk. Lastings Milledge homered for the Nationals, who have dropped three of four.

Milwaukee won four of its six matchups with the Nationals last season.
