Arizona Diamondbacks (29-20) at Atlanta Braves (27-22), 1:35 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Veteran southpaw Tom Glavine can make it three straight in the win column today when the Atlanta Braves take on the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks in the third game of a four-game series at Turner Field.

Glavine began the season with no wins in six decisions, but has since won two straight, including a 3-1 downing of the New York Mets on May 20.

In that win, the 305th of his career, Glavine allowed three hits and a run over six innings, striking out four batters and lowering his season's earned run average from 4.41 to 3.98.

He'd beaten Philadelphia one start earlier after giving up four hits and four runs over 5 2/3 innings of the Braves' 8-6 triumph.

He is 10-3 lifetime against Arizona in 15 starts, posting a 2.49 ERA in 105 innings.

Meanwhile, second-year Diamondbacks right-hander Micah Owings tries to end a brief skid.

The 25-year-old Georgia native won his first four starts of the season, but has won just once in five starts since, including dropping a 3-2 decision at Florida on May 20 to fall to 5-2.

In the loss, he gave up seven hits and three runs in seven innings.

His last win came May 14 against Colorado, against whom he surrendered five hits in six shutout innings of Arizona's 4-3 win.

He won his lone career start against the Braves last season, allowing three hits and three runs in seven innings, while walking none and striking out seven.

On Saturday, Jeff Francoeur's two-run home run off Chad Qualls with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning lifted Atlanta to a 3-1 win over Arizona.

After Blaine Boyer worked around a walk to Miguel Montero in the top of the ninth, Chipper Jones started the home half with a line single to right off Doug Slaten, then moved to second when Mark Teixeira grounded to short.

Qualls came on in relief, but Francoeur hammered an 0-1 slider into the seats in left to give the Braves the win.

Boyer (1-3) held the D-Backs scoreless over 1 2/3 innings of relief to earn the win for the Braves, who won for the sixth time in seven games.

Jorge Campillo started and threw four shutout innings, allowing just two hits, but left with a blister on his right middle finger. Yunel Escobar added an RBI single for the Braves.

Slaten (0-1) took the loss in relief of Randy Johnson, who allowed a run on five hits in six innings, racking up 10 strikeouts.

Augie Ojeda drove in the only run for the Diamondbacks, who had just three hits and lost for the fourth time in five games.

Arizona won four of its six matchups with the Braves last season and is 11-4 against them since the start of the 2006 campaign, including wins in seven of its last nine visits to Turner Field.
