Arizona Diamondbacks (28-18) at Florida Marlins (26-19), 7:10 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Former first-round draft pick Andrew Miller tries for a fourth win in five decisions tonight when the Florida Marlins close out a three-game series with the Arizona Diamondbacks at Dolphin Stadium.

The sixth overall pick of the 2006 draft, Miller won three straight decisions between April 23 and May 10 before dropping a 7-6 verdict to Kansas City on May 16.

In the loss, the Gainesville, Florida native surrendered five hits and two earned runs in five innings, walking three and striking out six.

He'd struck out a season-high seven one start prior while defeating Washington, 11-0, on May 10.

Miller, who turned 23 on Wednesday, has never faced the Diamondbacks.

Right-hander Dan Haren seeks his first career win against the Marlins.

In the first year of his return to the National League after three seasons in Oakland, Haren allowed 10 hits and five runs in six innings while taking the loss in his only previous matchup with the Marlins.

He is also 0-2 in three road starts this season, giving up 18 hits and 10 earned runs in 17 2/3 innings.

The 27-year-old Californian began the season with four wins and a no-decision in six starts, and has picked up a win, a loss and a no-decision in his subsequent three outings.

He defeated Detroit last time out, allowing six hits and three runs over seven innings of a 4-3 Arziona win.

On Wednesday, Brandon Webb finally lost, outdueled by Ricky Nolasco in the Marlins' 3-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Webb (9-1) pitched well enough to win, scattering six hits and three runs over seven frames with seven strikeouts and no walks. Unfortunately for him and the Diamondbacks, Nolasco (3-3) was even better, holding the struggling Arizona lineup to three hits and one run through seven innings, fanning seven and walking two.

The Diamondbacks managed only four hits on the night, after being held to two runs on six hits in the series opener, a 3-2 loss on Tuesday.

Webb had won all nine of his starts this season, and was trying to become the first pitcher since Andy Hawkins of the San Diego Padres in 1985 to win his first 10 starts.

The streak ended at nine, however, still good for the longest in Diamondbacks history, and tied for third-longest in the majors since World War I.

Luis Gonzalez went 2-for-3 with a triple, a run batted in, and scored. Cody Ross homered for the Marlins, who had dropped five of six entering the series, but can sweep the three-game matchup of division leaders with a win on Thursday.

Stephen Drew's solo homer provided the lone run for Arizona, which has lost three of four.

Arizona won six of its seven meetings with the Marlins last season.
