Arizona Diamondbacks (28-17) at Florida Marlins (25-19), 7:10 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Right-hander Brandon Webb tries to do something that hasn't been done in 23 years tonight when the Arizona Diamondbacks visit Dolphin Stadium for the middle test of a three-game set with the Florida Marlins.

Webb has won nine straight starts to begin 2008 and can become the first pitcher to win 10 straight at the outset of a season since San Diego's Andy Hawkins did so in 1985.

The eighth-round draft choice of the Diamondbacks in 2000 was an 18-game winner last season, and got halfway to that number this season with an 8-5 defeat of Colorado on May 15, allowing six hits and three runs in 7 1/3 innings.

He is 3-3 in six career starts against Florida, posting a 5.05 earned run average in 35 2/3 innings.

For Florida, California-born right-hander Ricky Nolasco will try and make it two straight against the Diamondbacks. The 25-year-old won his lone career start against Arizona, allowing six hits and three runs in 7 1/3 innings, while striking out four and walking one.

He ended a four-start skid this season on May 9, defeating Washington with six innings of four-hit, one-run ball.

Nolasco got a no-decision in his last start, allowing five hits and two runs in 4 2/3 innings of Florida's 7-6 loss to Cincinnati.

On Tuesday, closer Kevin Gregg came on with the bases loaded and one out in the eighth and Florida nursing a one-run lead, and recorded the last five outs of the Marlins' 3-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Gregg's eighth save of the season nailed down the win for Mark Hendrickson (6-2), who held the Diamondbacks to four hits and one run with seven strikeouts and a walk, but lasted only five innings.

Dan Uggla went 2-for-3 with a solo home run for the Marlins, who have won two of three after dropping four straight.

The loss obscured a career-high 10 strikeouts by Arizona starter Micah Owings (5-2), who took the loss despite scattering seven hits and three runs over seven frames.

Chris Snyder homered for the Diamondbacks, who have dropped two of three after winning four straight.

Arizona won six of its seven meetings with the Marlins last season.
