Toronto Blue Jays (22-23) at Philadelphia Phillies (24-10), 1:35 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Toronto Blue Jays will conclude their 10-game road trip this afternoon, as they play the finale of a three-game set with the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.

Toronto had split the first eight games of the swing after Friday's loss to Philadelphia, but rebounded with a 6-3 victory on Saturday. Former Phillie Rod Barajas provided most of the offense with a second-inning grand slam off of Adam Eaton (0-2), and then added some insurance in the top of the ninth with a solo homer to give him a career-high five RBI in the game.

A.J. Burnett (4-4) got the win, as he was charged with two runs on four hits with three walks and eight strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings of work. The ace helped Toronto to its fifth win in its last six games.

Toronto will hope to get another strong outing from 26-year-old Shaun Marcum today. Despite one of his best outings of the season on Monday versus Cleveland, Marcum failed to win his third straight start and instead got a no- decision in the back end of a doubleheader. He twirled eight shutout frames, yielding just two hits and no walks while striking out five before leaving a scoreless contest.

The Blue Jays went on to plate three runs in the 10th to win their third straight game with the right-hander on the mound. Marcum, meanwhile, has a 1.19 earned run average over his last four starts and is 4-2 on the season with a 2.22 ERA.

He faced the Phillies for the first time in his career on May 19 of last year. He was given 13 runs of support in the win while allowing just two runs over six innings himself. He fanned six batters, though he did allow a home run to Chase Utley.

Utley went 0-for-3 in yesterday's loss, while slugger Ryan Howard was 0-for-4 with three strikeouts to up his major-league leading total to 63. He also had an eight-game hitting streak halted and failed to produce an RBI for the first time in seven games.

Jimmy Rollins went 3-for-5 with two RBI while Greg Dobbs had two hits, an RBI and a run scored for the Phillies, who have lost four of their last seven games.

Kyle Kendrick goes for the Phillies tonight and hasn't lost since April 16 versus Houston. The 23-year-old is 2-0 in five starts since to improve to 3-2 on the season with a 4.87 ERA. He was good enough to win on Tuesday versus the Braves, allowing three runs on six hits and four walks over six frames of a 5-4 victory.

The Phillies have won each of Kendrick's last five outings, while the right- hander will be facing the Blue Jays for the first time in his career.

Philadelphia and Toronto have split six meetings over the previous two seasons and are clashing 15 years after the Blue Jays bested the Phils in six games in the 1993 World Series. The Phillies went 8-7 in interleague play last year, while the Blue Jays ended 10-8.
