Toronto Blue Jays (19-22) at Minnesota Twins (20-18), 8:10 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Toronto Blue Jays hope they have found their offense and will play the middle portion of a three-game series with the Minnesota Twins tonight at the Metrodome.

During a recent four-game losing streak the Blue Jays were outscored 29-4 and were blanked in back-to-back losses to Cleveland, including the first part of Monday's doubleheader. The club then failed to plate a run in the first nine innings of Monday's second game before scoring three runs in the 10th inning to post a 3-0 victory.

However, in Tuesday's opener against the American League Central-leading Twins, the Blue Jays posted 10 hits in a 5-3 victory. Aaron Hill, Lyle Overbay and Shannon Stewart all had two-hit games and drove in a run each. Matt Stairs homered and scored twice in the win.

Jesse Litsch (5-1) went 5 2/3 innings, giving up two runs on four hits to help Toronto improve to 2-3 on a 10-game road trip. B.J. Ryan posted his sixth save of the season and has yet to allow a run in 11 innings of work.

Roy Halladay starts tonight for Toronto and is 1-4 in his last five starts. Halladay seemed to be on his way to a victory in Cleveland on Friday, as he had given up just three hits and struck out nine over six shutout innings.

However, in the seventh inning he gave up two singles and a walk to load the bases and then allowed a two-run double before exiting. The Indians went on to score a total of six runs in the frame to hand both Toronto and Halladay the loss.

Halladay, who has a 3-5 mark and 3.29 earned run average this year in addition to a major-league best four complete games, is 6-0 with a save and 2.66 ERA in 10 games (8 starts) lifetime versus the Twins. He won his lone start against them last year and is 2-0 in six games (4 starts) at the Metrodome.

Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau are a combined 0-for-13 against Halladay, and the two had just one hit each in yesterday's loss. Carlos Gomez was 2-for-4 with a home run for the Twins, who were coming off of taking three of four from the Red Sox at home. Jason Kubel clubbed a pinch-hit homer.

Twins starter Kevin Slowey (0-3) lasted 5 2/3 innings, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks. He struck out five in his third start of the season and second since coming off the disabled list due to a right biceps strain.

Boof Bonser gets the starting assignment for the Twins, and has been hammered in his last two starts. After a seven-inning, one-run effort versus the White Sox in late April, Bonser was tagged for six runs (5 earned) on eight hits in six innings against Detroit on May 4. He then lasted just four innings against Boston on Friday, yielding six runs on seven hits.

However, he has gotten a no-decision in each of those outings, as the Twins have plated seven runs in each game.

The right-hander is 2-4 with a 5.09 ERA this year, and has lost both of his career starts against the Jays while pitching to a 6.17 ERA against them. He was beaten by Toronto on June 27 of last year, giving up five runs over six innings.

Toronto won six of its 10 matchups with Minnesota last year and is 12-6 versus the Twins since the start of the 2006 season. The Blue Jays are 7-5 at the Metrodome in that span.
