Texas Rangers (13-19) at Seattle Mariners (13-19), 10:10 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Veteran right-hander Kevin Millwood looks to make it six starts without a loss tonight when the Texas Rangers visit Safeco Field for the first of four games with the Seattle Mariners.

Millwood, a 33-year-old native of North Carolina, began 2008 with losses in his first two starts but has since won twice and gotten three no-decisions in five outings.

He downed Kansas City, 11-9, in his last appearance, allowing seven hits and five runs in 6 1/3 innings.

Seattle beat the Rangers and Millwood, 5-2, on March 31 at Safeco, a game in which he allowed four hits and two unearned runs in six innings. Lifetime against Seattle, Millwood is 7-7 in 16 starts with a 4.02 earned run average in 100 2/3 innings.

Lefty Jarrod Washburn will try to end a four-start winless drought for the Mariners.

The 33-year-old Wisconsin native was 1-1 after a 7-1 defeat of Tampa Bay on April 9, but has since lost three times and gotten one no-decision.

He was beaten, 8-3, at Cleveland on April 30 after allowing six hits and five earned runs in 4 1/3 innings.

In his career against Texas, Washburn is 7-8 in 27 appearances -- 25 starts -- with a 4.31 ERA in 150 1/3 innings.

On Sunday in Oakland, Jack Cust hit the go-ahead two-run home run in the seventh inning to help the Athletics salvage the finale of a three-game set with a 3-1 win over the Rangers.

German Duran hit a solo home run in the third inning for the Rangers, who saw their season-high four-game win streak come to an end. Texas' 3-4-5 hitters, Josh Hamilton, Milton Bradley and David Murphy, combined to go 0-for-12 with 10 strikeouts in the game.

Scott Feldman (0-1) was charged with the loss after he gave up three runs on six hits in 6 1/3 frames on the hill.

In New York, Darrell Rasner tossed six solid innings in his season debut, and Melky Cabrera and Robinson Cano hit back-to-back homers in a six-run third inning as the Yankees completed a three-game sweep of Seattle with an 8-2 win at Yankee Stadium.

Adrian Beltre hit a two-run home run to account for the Mariners' only offense.

Carlos Silva (3-1) was touched for eight runs on 11 hits in just three-plus innings of work en route to his first loss of the year for Seattle, which finished a six-game road swing at 1-5.

The Mariners won two of three versus the Rangers from March 31-April 2, and is 13-9 versus Texas since the start of the 2007 season.
