Chicago White Sox (14-14) at Toronto Blue Jays (14-17), 1:07 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Roy Halladay hopes for some run support this afternoon when the Toronto Blue Jays continue their four-game series with the Chicago White Sox at Rogers Centre.

Halladay tossed his fourth straight complete game on Tuesday in Boston, but unfortunately the former Cy Young Award winner walked away with his third consecutive loss.

The 30-year-old right-hander, who became the first Blue Jay to lose three straight complete games since Jim Clancy in 1982, is 2-4 on the season with a 3.26 earned run average. There hasn't been a pitcher to lose four straight complete games since Oaklands Rick Langford dropped six in a row in 1980.

Halladay, who has received just eight runs of support in his last four starts, leads the majors with 30 complete games since 2003.

He is a mere 2-3 lifetime against the White Sox despite a 3.27 ERA.

Toronto extended its winning streak to three on Saturday, as Jesse Litsch was dominant on the mound and Vernon Wells drove in three runs, lifting the Blue Jays to a 5-2 win.

Litsch (4-1) allowed two runs on five hits and struck out three over 7 1/3 innings for the Blue Jays.

Wells finished 3-for-5 at the plate, while Alex Rios and David Eckstein each had two hits and scored a run. Marco Scutaro added a solo home run in the victory.

John Danks (2-3) was charged with two runs on sevens hits and fanned five in 4 2/3 innings for Chicago, which has dropped a season-high four in a row. Octavio Dotel surrendered three unearned runs in one inning of work.

Danks entered the game not having allowed a walk over his last 66 batters faced. A two-out walk to Matt Stairs in the fifth snapped the streak at 88.

Solo home runs from Jermaine Dye and Carlos Quentin provided the offense for the White Sox, who pounded out only six hits a day after Toronto's pitching staff limited them to two in a 2-0 loss. Paul Konerko was 2-for-4 in defeat

Chicago will give the ball to Jose Contreras today in hopes that he can improve his solid 2-2 record and 3.98 ERA. The big righty picked up a victory over Baltimore last Sunday, as he surrendered only one earned run on five hits in 6.2 innings of action.

Contreras is 2-1 all-time against Toronto with a 3.51 ERA.

The Blue Jays went 4-3 against Chicago in 2007 and won three of four from the White Sox at the Rogers Centre from May 31-June 3 of last season.
