San Francisco Giants (62-73) at Washington Nationals (58-77), 7:05 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The San Francisco Giants will continue a three-game series against the Washington Nationals this evening at RFK Stadium.

The Giants have won seven of their last eight games, including Friday's 3-2 victory over the Nationals in the series opener. Giants starting pitcher Kevin Correia threw six solid innings and yielded just two runs on five hits with a walk and two strikeouts.

Rajai Davis capped a three-run second inning with a two-run double as the Giants posted their 12th win in the last 15 games.

Jonathan Sanchez will get the call for San Francisco on Saturday and is 1-2 with a 5.30 ERA in 29 relief appearances this season. Sanchez last pitched in the majors on August 10 against Pittsburgh and did not record a decision despite permitting four runs without recording an out.

Sanchez, a left-hander, will be called up from Triple-A Fresno and has never faced Washington in his brief career. He is taking the place of rookie starter Tim Lincecum, who is skipping his turn in the rotation to rest.

The Nationals will send rookie Joel Hanrahan to the hill tonight and he is 3-2 with a 5.90 ERA in six starts this season.

Hanrahan has dropped two of his last three starts, including an August 26 outing at Colorado. Hanrahan gave up nine of the runs in Washington's 10-5 setback and lasted just 2 2/3 innings on the hill.

The righty defeated San Francisco on August 9 after allowing one run over 5 1/3 innings at AT&T Park.

Austin Kearns homered last night for the Nationals, who have lost seven straight. Nationals starter Tim Redding lasted five innings, allowing three runs on five hits for the loss.

These two clubs split a four-game set in San Francisco from August 6-9. Washington, though, won five of six versus the Giants last year and swept a three-game set with San Fran at home.
